National Co-Production Partnership

Homewards

INTRO

For World Homeless Day, we worked with Homewards to profile the National Coproduction Partnership – a panel of advisors with lived experience of homelessness, supported by Groundswell, who help shape the Homewards programme from the inside. We travelled to Bournemouth, Sheffield and London to meet and interview panel members, and delivered a social media series of videos and graphics alongside a brand identity built for the campaign.

OUTCOME

Three cities in one shoot meant a lot of walking backwards down high streets, dodging prams and lampposts while trying to keep someone in frame and mid-sentence – an occupational hazard, but also part of what makes these films work. Advisors don't tell their stories from behind a desk, they tell them out in the places they know, and the film needed to move with them rather than sit them down and point a camera at their face. What came out of it was a series that puts the Partnership's own words front and centre – proof that the people who've lived through homelessness are the ones best placed to help end it.
